- I've called their BBS from here in Australia on several occasions and never
- managed to get anything LESS than 14.4k. When downloading the 3.0i patch the
- other day, it acted a bit sluggish (I'm guessing the error correcting was
- working hard) and transmission rates were only around 600 bytes/sec.. I
- logged off and re-dialed just five minutes later to have another go, and
- downloaded the patches at a full 1,450 bytes per second, which was great
- considering it's an overseas call.

- The point I will make, however, is that due to time-zone differences I was
- calling in the very early hours of the morning your time, so perhaps the
- lines were less congested. Who knows? Just a theory...
